THE SIGNIFICANT CULTURAL EVENT OF THE ISLAND
PHUKET PRIDE FESTIVAL IS BACK ONCE AGAIN IN PATONG BEACH

In collaboration with Patong Municipality, Andaman Power Organization; the organization for sexual diversity concentrating on Aids awareness and health matters, Patong Hospital and Local gay businesses, the LGBT Volunteers Team of Phuket Island; the volunteers team leaders are Khun Ake, Khun Vickky, Khun Helenna and Khun Parda with help form the LGBT community is very proud to present the most fantastic Phuket Pride Celebration in Patong Beach during 23rd тАУ 26th February, 2011.
The announcement of all activities and programs will be made at Jungceylon Patong along with fantastic shows on stage prior to the appointed dates for the festival. Then there will be pre-opening white party in the evening of Wednesday February 23rd in Paradise Street with shows from all the bars. And on the 24th you can cheer your favorite team at the beach volleyball tournament during the day, then in the evening with the Grand opening of Pride Celebration in Paradise Street. The celebration will include fireworks, shows from all the bars and late night street party. On Friday February 25, day 3 of the festival you can choose to either cheer your favorite volleyball team at the final beach volleyball competition or join the gay day tour to Yao Yai Island and then in the evening back to the Awards Night Party and join the celebration with all the beach volleyball winners while they receive their prizes. And after that you can enjoy the street party and various fun games from different bars. The Grand Parade will be on Saturday the 26th of February from 5 pm. The parade will start from Duang Jitt Resort at the southern end of Patong Beach, then proceed along the Beach Road as far as the football stadium by the beach at Loma Park and then move back to Paradise Street for Street Dance evening and then the closing party for Pride Festival.
It was also decided that Phuket Pride would continue their support of various organizations and foundations that have assisted our community with the fight against HIV/AIDS. It is with great pleasure that we announce that the recipients of these funds will be Patong Hospital тАУ тАЬAndaman PowerтАЭ, the Organization for sexual diversity concentrating on Aids awareness and health matters.
