Sansuk Suana disappointment

I was in Sansuk twice recently and was totally disappointed. About 5 farang for every Thai guy. Average Thai about was 26. Only about 2 cute and 5 or 6 sort of cute Thais in the whole place. There were also some loud and obnoxious Russians running in a pack.

Sansuk looked like a set for the retirement home scene in a new Star Wars movie. Lots of grotesque fat old men, with Jabba the Hutt in the steam room and he was s#cking an old Shrek look alike. It was, well, gut wrenching. Being strongly groped by many old men in the steam room isn't what I wanted and it was repulsive.

The cute and sort of cute Thai guys were instantly snatched up. The ones that were left weren't wanted by anyone. Pretty sad to be in Thailand and being grabbed by old farang and no cute Thais were anywhere to be had.

It seems the owner completely misses the point of why farang go there. He likes old men and is happy with crowd. The farang want younger, cute Thai guys. I suspect most of the customers left with there Viagra induced and unsatisfied erections in their hands. The customers were not getting much action and many will not return to be further disappointed.

WTF is is that horrible smelling eye burning stuff that they put in the steam rooms. Worse than industrial floor cleaner. Obvious that the managemnet has never been in the steam room when it used.

I will be waiting to hear that Sansuk has greatly improved before I will return for a third visit! Better off to go to Babylon.

I can sympathize with the OP poster's disappointment, but in fairness to Sansuk, I have always enjoyed my visits there. And, yes, sometimes the crowd is not to my liking, but hey, as with any venue, sometimes you hit a dud night.

As far as encouraging younger Thais to enter, they used to (and maybe they still do) have a policy that Thais below a certain age were admitted free of charge. The downside of that, though, was that it was not unusual to run into gaggles of twinky ladyboys flittlng through the halls giggling and making a nuisance of themselves. That, to me, was as annoying as the loudmouthed farang who seemed oblivious to other patrons. But, that being said, those incidents are rare.

I think the OP is being honest about his experience, but I suspect the disappointment is more a result of entering the real world for a moment, where you actually have to attract and charm boys to hook up with you... instead of this fantasy where you just pick them off a stage and pay them.

Sansuk is not a "canned hunt" like the bars are. I have had some very good times at Sansuk, with young guys, so I know they go there. To improve your odds, you might try going on a thur,fri,sat,or sun when the Bangkok universities are having holidays. I met some wonderful guys there during uni breaks. Also don't expect to attract people who are out of your league....same as in any sauna. Sansuk is set up very well for meeting people, at the pool, in the TV room, etc. I think Punya did a great job with the place and I go there as often as possible.

Two seasons ago, I visited Sansuk Sauna around 5:30pm, when I was told it was the best time to visit. At that time, I saw a number of attractive Thai guys. I played around with a couple and fucked a third, an Asian, who was living in Paris but visitng Pattaya. Perhaps the crowd has changed in two years. But I like Punya's policy of prohibiting rent boys from attending and charging. Virtually ALL of the other gay venues in Pattaya have rental boys. It was encouraging to know that some young attractive Thai buys actually WANTED to have sex with me -- without the usual "gratuity." Mind you, I have no problems paying rental fees! When I return to Pattaya next week, staying at the Copa for 2-3 weeks, I will actively be visiting rental show bars and offing guys. Whoopee!!

While wandering the halls I often see other farang who I judge to be very unappealing - fatter than me, scruffy looking, older than me, etc. Yet, I notice several attractive young Thai guys welcoming their advances and coming on to them. It gives the lie to the contention that all Thais are uninterested in us older, chubby, farang and only turned on by our wallets.

I visited Sansuk in September and was very happy. The place was clean, well staffed, good facility.

I can't remember what day of the week, but the key time was certainly late afternoon / early evening. I arrived around 3 and it was really pretty slow. Mostly guests from the guesthouse hanging around by the pool. Once 530 or so rolled around, dramatic increase in visitors. This included a great number of Thai guys, most very sexy and friendly. I had a great time.

I can commiserate if the OP happened to visit on an off night, but I am betting it is a rare occurrence.

I didn't stop by Sansuk on my last couple trips. There are saunas around home I can visit, so I prefer to take advantage of being in Thailand by hitting the go go and beer bars.

I have noticed that in general terms the number of "Thai boys" seem to be on the decrease at the beach, sauna, or other venues. -But it isn't because of less Thais available to meet, but with peak season right now, they are all occupied instead of looking around for a farang. Of course a sauna or any gay venue in Pattaya is going to have a large number of older farangs since Pattaya attracks the retired visitor. I was in BKK over the weekend and had no problem meeting up with fit, good looking Thai guys (my type in late 20-35) at Babylon Sauna. (and some attractive farangs) --But even there the numbers of farangs have increased due to peak season at BB. I like the lay out of Sansuk, it is clean and new but most of the Thais I have run into are the twinky - skinny type. On weekends- late evenings is the best time to run into a better selection of Thais who have jobs but don't hit the gay scene in Pattaya.

I absolutely agree with OP. If you like younger cute guys, Sansuk isn't the place to meet them anymore.

I have been to Sansuk many times since it opened. The selection of good looking younger Thais was good, but has constantly declined in the last two years. It was easy to meet a cute younger Thai back then. In fact, now there aren't nearly enough to go around. The place was actually rather depressing on the last few visits. It was mostly many old and fat farang. It is not about being in your "league", it is about you can't hook up with somebody that isn't there. It is the very limited number of not so good looking Thais that now get to pick and choose. May not be long before the old guys stop going because they don't get any action.

Sansuk needs to find a way to once again attract the 20-25 good looking Thais.
The owner needs to treat them with more respect and encourage them to patronize the place.

I hope the owner reads this takes it as constructive advise from a user.
Some ideas to improve Sansuk:
Two for one entry prices for under 25.
Go on Friday, Sat or Sunday and get a free entry for the following weekdays.
Member cards with discounts.
Better develope the third floor rooms outside of the sauna room and also the attic floor. They are never occupied and are useless.
Build a large proper cruise area - ie: dark maze room. Be sure to include some comfortable bench seating.
Add partitions or dividers and beds or padded mattresses on the floor in the top level.

I have always left the venue satisfied, and I think it is well run. I find in April there tend to be more Thais there - maybe holiday period, who knows!

You are wrong about free for young Thais. As I understand, never free but there was a low season discount that has now been discontinued for some time.

You being satisfied and meeting one guy from BKK doesn't make it a good place in any general sense. I might not even agree on your selections.

I used to hook up for "intense sessions" with three or more cute young guys everytime, two or three years back. I can assure you that I know what is cute. Now finding even one is doing good. Before anybody comes up with a wise-a$$ comment, I look much the same today as three years ago and still meet guys out of the sauna, so that isn't what's different and I am not talking about money or agogo boys. The handsome Thai guys (under 25) just haven't been in Sansuk in any significant numbers for quite a while on the many nights I have been there but now there are lots of soon to be retirement home applicants every time. I could go to Europe or North America if I wanted to be in a white guy sauna. WTF, this is Thailand and I want cute young Thais.

The best sex that I've had in Thailand was with a gay Thai that I met at Babylon. You also find white guys that aren't into Asians at the saunas. I had encounters with a couple Europeans. Not sure why they came to Thailand, but okay...

The free entry for Thai guys disappeared some time ago, and certainly not on the official sansuk sauna website.

Last time I was there, it was during the SEA-games.
The TV was tuned in on the games and approx. 8-10 nice looking young Thas were gathered around the tube.
No way you can get a Thai attracted when he is watching the tube.
