White Beach - Puerto Galera Phillipines

After 25 years, I'm finally returning to White Beach, Puerto Galera. I know that it's changed dramatically since I was there last.
However, I was hoping someone from this forum might have some up-to-date suggestions for a decent hotel at White Beach, preferably one that won't give a hassle for legal age visitors. Also, I'd love to know what the Gay scene is like now, or a preferred beach bar. When I was there as a young man, the beach featured Nipa Huts for $5 USD per night complete with critters and cold shower. However, I had the time of my life! I'm not looking for a Nipa Hut at my age, and I expect to pay 2011 rates with a smile. I'd sure like to have a "good" time again...

I visited Puerto Galera several years ago.
Stayed at the Portofino Resort at Small La Laguna Beach. http://www.portofino.com.ph
It was a nice small hotel with a swimming pool and bar. The beach was only rocks, as is the case in many places in the Philippines.
If you book at the Portofino pay extra for a room on the front facing the water. My room in the back adjoined the power generator that cranked up every night...

We took a pump boat to White Beach for the afternoon.
Very beautiful but I do not think I would stay there.
Still, on the Holidays, many gay men from Manila flock there!!
So it can be a lot of fun.
