Yes, we are beginning to see more of this. Apparently reaction is forming to numerous "anti-gay" measures from the Thai government. I remember back in November hearing about a rally against the "Beijing-style" culture ministry ban against transgendered identity in media (??? but can't find reference to it). Today's rally was against official nonsupport against the UN resolution removing gays from protection for unusual punishment. I hope some of our Sawatdee users can keep us up to date on all of this.

Queer network rally outside Govt House

Transsexuals and rights activists gathered outside Government House on Tuesday morning, opposing Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's abstention to reinstate 'sexual orientation' into the United Nation's resolution against unjustified killing of minorities. About 50 members of the Thailand Queer Network, rallying in front of Government House, were led by KT from Fah Si Roong (Rainbow Sky), a gay rights advocacy group.

Interesting... Let's hope they don't actually go backwards on gay rights in Thailand when most other countries are moving forward.
