Renovations should be done overnight ready to reopen Fan Club at 1:00pm tomorrow. Website is up but still getting more content updated: http://www.fanclub.asia Its been a HUGE weekend with the amount of work to be done and over 40+ workmen working in 24 hour shifts!

We now have Gym, Painted walls, Real Floor, Internet Cafe and loads of new good stuff.... Will have new photos online as soon as i kick the workmen out in the morning!

Thanks for the info Ozcamo, and good luck.

(All that was wanted was some information - what a shame that two of the board's spoilers had to infect this thread with their meaningless crap)

November 15th, 2010, 18:27
Well now you have the website you can toddle along and get a prostitute to give you a chugg.

Happy now?

He might be happier on GBT, the prostitute board where no thread ever goes off topic and nothing is ever spoiled or ruined. :D

Or there's that other board - the one that's just a porn site with a forum!!

Shorty could go there and play with his noodle instead - he'll save at least 500B

Sorry to have to start a new thread on the Fan Club massage...

How frivolous. The last thread on Fan Club Massage is only 3 days old, contains only 3 replies and is still on the first page of the forum. There is no reason not to post your question there...l

And you took it over with an extreme long post with a lot of pictures that was really a Personal Message to one of the posters. Had I posted, or any one else as far as that goes. it would have been lost way at the bottom that someone would have had scroll just to get to.

Beachlover, there's something to what DCBob is talking about here. While I agree you didn't ruin the original thread posted by the new owner of Fan Club and a second one wasn't really necessary I think you'd admit it was a rather excessive off-topic comment to macaroni21 that probably would have been better sent as a PM than posted on the thread. I also agree Mack's blog is great reading, BTW; he puts a lot of time into his own graphics, and his maps are some of the best available as reference. By the way - tabbed explanations of his codes are at the top of the page on his site.

It was nice to hear from ozcamo about the remodeling of the place, so let's give him some credit for sharing - and suggest that he not start a new thread every time there's a minor change in the place as some businesses do. (wink wink)

The "old" Fan Club was already a worthwhile stop, but I wasn't a big fan of the industrial look so I wish them well with the remodel. They didn't have the stable of gym-toned guys Senso does, but I had two of three visits where I had a good quality massage at a decent price - what Mack might call 8 or 9 out of 10 on his scale - and that's what I go to a massage place for. Folks I know who go to massage shops for sex tell me the "afters" are always a subjective thing.

Someone would have had to scroll? My GOD, what an outrage! *Explodes*

By your logic anything after the 5th post of any page is "lost" and "way down the bottom". Only the most fragile and linear of internet users call a thread "hijacked and ruined" by one mildly off-topic post. They can't accept message board discussions are dynamic because they can't get their static, linear brains around any deviation in topic. It only takes one post to bring a thread back on topic... shorty just wanted to have a bitch and a cry.

I think you'd admit it was a rather excessive off-topic comment to macaroni21 that probably would have been better sent as a PM than posted on the thread.
There's no logic in this statement. If you're going to say it should've been PM'd you may as well say 60-70% of posts on this board should be PM'd.

Off-topic discussions occur naturally on any informal discussion-oriented message board. Some of the best debates and discussions here are completely off-topic. If SGT only contained factual, executive concise, on-topic posts it would be as boring as bat sh*t.

Let's not be pre-emptive in nagging the man... He's only started 1 thread and answered 2 questions about his business here. Perfectly reasonable.

It's logical, but I'm not going to get into a debate about it with you. Look at the thread again and I think you'll see what I meant.

I was merely pointing out that a dozen graphics taken from Shameless Mack's blog and inserted into a thread about new ownership of a massage venue in Bangkok wasn't in keeping with the thread thus far, that's all. The PM suggestion was in regards to the question asked of Mack about images that are explained on his site.

I'm wrong my share of times, Beachlover - but I honestly don't think this is one of them.

Well, wait... I've taken this thread off topic, too! Rats.

Why the hell would I want to PM a question to someone here unless it was of a private nature?

The aim of the Mack post was to introduce some colour and light hearted discussion to the thread, hence the images (perhaps a few images too many, but no major disaster by ANY measure). It wasn't successful.

Dozens of posts aren't "in keeping with the thread thus far" each week here. Most people manage to move with the direction of the discussion and bring it back on track quite easily if there's lingering query or interest in the original topic.

If Shortbread had posted his question in the original thread, it would have been answered just as easily as it was here, albeit without the well deserved heckling and ridicule of his ridiculous statement, which cdnmatt accurately predicted. The truth is, he just wanted to have a bitch and moan.

As thoughtful as you are, bao bao, don't be worried about taking this thread off topic. The topic isn't "fan club". It's "shortbread's bitch and moan" as he quite clearly states from the beginning.

I'm sure some web designer thought it was a good idea, but frankly I find the whole spinning photos interface to be terrible. The site could use a bit of simplifying to be easier for the user to interact with.

Just be honest.

What you REALLY mean is you can't stroke as fast as the boy pics are spinning.

Totally agree. It's a pain in the arse to skim through the site on my laptop. Looking at it on my phone is completely impossible.

Unless you have a $20k budget to make it slick and compatible with everything, stick to simple HTML and isolated bits of flash.

Doesn't show up for sh*t on Google either: http://www.google.com.au/search?sourcei ... ge+bangkok (http://www.google.com.au/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=fan+club+massage+bangkok)

It actually works quite well. Just click on one of the spinning photos. Then click on the + or- in that photo and you are able to scroll through all the photos one at a time.

Holy crap... I'm impressed. It's not often a business owner looks at the feedback here and acts on it by coming back with a new website so quickly! Well done.

Curious. What's a "Warm massage"?

not sure if there is a mistake in translation.

* Please note our staff work exclusively for tips.

does this mean that the masseur do not get paid by management?

Massage staff are not usually paid by the management. In fact, the masseurs usually have to pay the management 'rent' for the room and a fee for towels used. They are not able to pocket the tip you give them in full...

But, I don't know the details of the arrangements at Fan Club.
