A New Home in Buachet

Hey Guys,

Here is a house we have just construced in Bua Chet, south of Surin.

The Client was quick to fill the land up once we had completed the house, but the footpath will not be laid for atleast 1 year.

The House took 5 months to complete, Interior pics will be coming in the next few days.

Did you folks know that instead of holding your breath and waiting for alan to post pictures, you can go to Google, type in what you are interested in, and then view millions upon millions of pictures of yummy looking guys. I'm surprised some of you didn't know this. With ignorance like this, it kinda makes me wonder if everyone here really does own/run a multi million dollar business like I do.

Not me, certainly, but that house looks to have cost around 2 million baht. Surin is not the most popular province for expats but pretty much every village has one or two and they often have houses that approach this level of magnificence. They are there because the wifey insisted and because the property costs next to nothing.

Well Rony, you didn't type in the correct phrase in the search engine (which leads me to believe that you are not one of the many here who run/own multi million dollar businesses) because I came up with plenty of hits. I hate to shatter dreams here but Thai construction workers are not very handsome. Thai construction workers are normally older men, not pretty bar boys dressed as construction workers. Why is it farang are never satisfied with what is available? They seem to think if they throw enough money to someone who is not gay, that they will ultimately get them. Why not be happy with the oodles of bar boys available? Brad Pitt may be able to get away with this (he probably wouldn't even have to pay) for the sheer bragging rights of the Thai boy to say he had sex with Brad Pitt, but for most of us who's looks and figures have long vanished...well you get what I'm saying.

First dog was great, but got stolen. Second dog was a typical street mutt, and he died 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'm guessing from Lymze's Disease, but not sure. Put him in garbage bags, and Kim said he was going to bury him, but just threw him into the ditch on his way to work one day. *shrug*

Rony sweetie, reading your post I sure can tell you are definitely up to running a multi million dollar business. I said you typed in the wrong search words and you were not able to think of any others that may fit the criteria. I think it's better you stick to your paper route or gas station job. This way you can save enough every few years to take a trip and act like someone of importance.

That was nearly 3 weeks ago. We've got the pictures but no floor plan or price as yet. Is that typical of builder's promises in Thailand?
