View Full Version : Hope springs eternal in low season Hua Hin ...

With the opening of the new Little Choices gay bar in Hua Hin last April ( http://www.littlechoiceshuahin.com ~ the website includes a location map), and now a fourth opening of yet another bar somewhere-downtown-but-who's-name-I-don't-know-yet, Hua Hin seems to be coming unglued of, shall I say it, little choice.

The low season in Hua Hin can be low indeed: excellent for crossing roads, long-termers, and non-bar flies ... but not so great for butterflies. The fact is, to my mind, if a bar (and especially a new one) can make it now, they just might well have a fighting chance of making a good deal of hay when the sun starts shining on the upcoming hi season.
This year we've seen Little Choices doing just that, and many's the night that we've been over there for a game of pool and a few beers that the place has been satisfyingly busy. One of the owners told me at least three of the Thai guys there have been doing good business (off-wise).

Anyway, just another reason to take a relaxing trip down this-a-way to see for yourself ... and why not do that on around the end of October for a Halloween Party? Bring a frock. Bring a fright mask. Or, better still, bring yourself.

We haven't been doing too much bar hopping this year, so Red Indian has not been visited yet (I hear it is under New Management), and Guy's Bar (2 doors down from Little Choices) has not seemed so inviting lately.
When the name and location of the New Place is discovered (perhaps tonight?) it's details will be posted.

well it looks like I will be going to Hua Hin to meet a couple of clients there in the next week or two - may be I should stay an extra night and explore a little!
