Made a post on GTT that MMB had closed and included some mild critisism of the bar . That was deleted from my post by the moderator. I simply stated that they seemed to cultivate a few close friends to the detriment of other customers and that they were the only bar to charge extra for mixers for a single drink. Apparently one of them is opening a bar in Cambodia and the other will return to England to decide his future. No big deal.

I think anytime you loose a good bar in hard times is a loss to the whole area. maybe you are the great loss not them. I will miss them both. too bad the Economy is like it is . I went there and ever felt it was over priced and the atmosphere was great. But to each his own I would guess

They seem to be closing on that side of the street.
I was looking forward to going there in December.

Well most of the core members of GTT hang out at that place and love it.

HEY JIM! no need to mince around on your TIPPY TOES. Take those shades off and READ pennyboy's post again.

"......included some mild critisism of the bar. That was deleted from my post....."

The subject is the critisism that was deleted. He didn't say the whole post was deleted.

And indeed, there is no critisism (as no critisism is allowed on GTT) in the remains of his post ...if you care to look

MiniMee,

You are correct in that the original post made was
changed by the Moderator at GTT.

My main point was that the posting was "very quickly moved"
by the GTT Moderator from the main GTT page to the Sunee Plaza Forum...
rather than stay on the main page for a day or two..
then moved to the Sunee page.

...no critisism is allowed on GTT...

...or should be allowed anywhere else either - it's criticism with a "c".

Well I'm not one to criticise but you're talking shit

OMFG it's not Betty Hutton is it?

I thought she was dead.

Or moved to Edinburgh (same thing)

Rest assured Betty is still alive.

She had a heart attack a few years ago and moved to the Athens of the North.

She had a few pages devoted to her life story in a magazine a few years back.

Here's a little tale on just ONE of Betty's many adventures:

Betty was up in court for giving a straight man a vicious beating after being the victim of some homophobic verbal abuse. The weapon? A stiletto.

In court, Betty was asked to provide his name.

"Betty Hutton," replied Betty.
"Your proper name!" bellowed the Judge.
"Elizabeth Hutton" was the retort

:sign5: :sign5:

When she dies there will be a state funeral.

Or finger buffets.

But there is a (celluloid) connection:

According to the Times of London (amongst others), Jimmy once appeared in a Porn movie - and I personally witnessed Betty Hutton getting fucked over the back of a cinema seat in the Classic Grand in Jamaica Street, Glasgow in the late 70's/early 80's

I should add that I only went in for an ice-cream.
