As this has not been posted by White Desire I can only assume he has had a heart attack at the news. :protest:

I read it today, you beat me to it.

Annoying as this is, there are other options to get your money out now - like Caxton, which is one of top cards with good rates and no charges. I stopped using Nationwide a while ago due to the 1% charge, but now its going to be 2% plus UK1 pound, people will be made to use this service, as they would be made to use other standard bank account debit cards and credit cards. Don't use them, there are alternative ways.

From being 'free' not long ago, it's quite a hike to paying 2% + UKP1 + Bht150

A recent SWIFT transfer (using Nationwide) produced various extra fees from the receiving bank (Kasikorn) and I'm coming to the conclusion that (no cost) sterling Travellers Cheques are the easiest way to go. Back to the dark ages. :crybaby:

2 to choose from for a better deal than nationwide.
