View Full Version : Do you know a Thai Tour Guide?

July 28th, 2010, 13:34
Hi. Do you know of an English speaking Thai guy who can do tours in Bangkok and maybe other places?
I am aware of a few people advertising just wonder if anyone has any personal experience of someone who is good.
Thanks

Nicky is a registered TAT tour guide who works for Purple Dragon. He has shown many friends around Bangkok and they have all been very pleased with his services.

He speaks very good English and will take you where you want, on whatever type of transport you want and explain all the details and history of the places visited.
Pick up at your hotel and return you there.

Booking private tours with Purple Dragon is not the cheapest but it is very professional and very reliable.

See www.philguidebkk.com (http://www.philguidebkk.com)

Phil is excellent. There are "set" tours or you can organise your own bespoke one.

I have used him twice and recommended him to friends - all of whom have been delighted with the service provided.

I can personally recommend Supot, the significant other of Smiles.
He drove me about Isan for 1 week.
He has his own SuperCab pickup. And knows Thailand like the back of his hand!!
A safe driver and great are recommending places to stay and eat.
I am not sure where his is now. In Hun Hai or back in Isan.
Send a Private Message to Smiles and he can put you in contact...

Cheers,
Hotman

Thanks for the generous plug of my guy's business GWMinUS. Diao Maa can read more about it here: << resource-forum-f8/new-vehicle-but-not-new-driver-yearly-tout-t18587.html (http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/resource-forum-f8/new-vehicle-but-not-new-driver-yearly-tout-t18587.html) >> PM or Email me through this Board for more info.

Suphot is in Surin right now doing something in a field (I'm a city guy :blackeye: can you tell?). He has just finished a week's trip with a customer to Ubon, and was happy for the business during the off season.

I'll second the vote for Phil. Not only is he a super nice guy, he knows a lot about a great many subjects. I suppose it is a cliche, but it really is like traveling with a friend. He organized a great trip to Sukhothai for me last year over the Loy Krathong holiday which was absolutely fantastic.

Yes, I know a great Isaan fellow named MaK who was a great tour guide with a buddy of mine who came to visit for a couple weeks. Mak is very intelligent, speaks fluent English and some Russian. He has been a free lance tour guide for various travel agencies when it is the busy season. He knows all the tourist spots, including the gay ones. I recommend him. I think I cannot give his cll ph number on this site but will if you send me a messge. He is very reasonable in price. He lives in Pattaya. :headbang:
