TAT in Pattaya promotions

In the above link, they are trying to promote Pattaya to provide discounts etc to encourage tourism. It's strange whenever they do this, I never see any promotions, especially in the gay areas.

Reduced hotel rates, discounts on tickets to tourist attractions and other promotions are some of the items they are trying to promote.

All I remember is there are problems if you are even 1 bht below paying your bill.

Well, of course not. 80% of the gay tourist dollars go into the black market. Why would the city or TAT bother promoting that? They're promoting family, beach resort style holidays. The type of tourists who work hard all year, then blow $8000 in a week on a 5 day vacation.

I suppose they finally took up one of Lonely's suggestions... Maybe they should hire LMTU to do the execution.

I don't think that's the TAT doing anything (as the thread title says)... it's just some local politician making suggestions to the TAT.
