Is Pattaya busy?

Wondered if Pattaya was worth visiting or should I give it a miss this time.

Overall Pattaya business is slow...very slow!!
I have never seen it so slow in the 10+ years of both visits...and retirement
...but there is still plenty of activity available to make your visit
well worth it. :hello1:

I chatted briefly with an Expat friend today who shared that
he knows of one Pattaya resort hotel of 88 rooms...
and only 2 of the 88 guest rooms booked! That is slow!

Another restaurant owner said to me today that business is down 50% from last year...this low season has Pattaya in the doldrums...

I would say that 20% of all small shops have closed ...
and more barely hanging on..so many for rent and for sale signs...
in all of Pattaya business..

The gay sois are struggling....and deserve our support...
The market savvy owners are doing special promotions to bring you in...
such as ...Happy (Boys)Bar's 99baht for all alcoholic drinks and 89baht non and NO added charge to use the upstairs lounge; Ganymede's Happy Hour..
Mike's Bar LaCage's Happy Hour 1for1 drink menu; and many more...
while others seem to be business as usual...and they will be the losers...
with their loud music, smoking, pushy mama-sans etc.

The gay friendly hotels and guesthouses have season low rates..several seen:
Howards Hotel, Sunee at 500 baht; The Bondi at Jomtien beach 600 baht;
for others...seek out for a special price when booking your hotel rooms at many fine hotels...3,4,5 stars are half empty...or worse...as above 2/88.

Massages are available for 100 baht for 1 hour foot⋚
and 200 baht oil in places...and worth the visits :king:

Condo owners are on discounted offer...and anxious to rent their rooms...bargain with them and you will get great value and ideal locations.

However...the action is still here and they are ready and able to make
your visit all that you seek... :headbang:

Fewer farangs - and plenty of boys. It doesn't get better than that.

I think I can make my own decision about whether its busy or not now.

Be interesting to see how it is when full season gets in swing in about 6 months time, say around Xmas.

I'm not in Pattaya now So i don't know if it's busy or not. frankly, I don't care either. I've never been to Thailand (Pattaya) without finding exactly what i was looking for and then some and then some more.

I go to my part of town because i know that I can't find my kind of boys there. instead of bitching about fem boys all the time, i suggest those who don't like them to stay in theirs.

I suspect that the people doing the bitching and who are looking for those manly, macho boys do so because they can no longer sustain an erection themselves and therefore require to be brutally rogered 6 times a night to gain any sexual satisfaction.

You can often spot this type of person by the way they walk in the morning.

Dunno how one can go with fems, someat wrong there, might as well be straight - aint got nothing against being straight either - I think it's something to do with their masculinity - if they go with a fem they feel butch - no matter what they look like? The times I have saw weezles (a weakling) say they screwed a fem. Urghh, not my style. They generally are about 5 ft tall, 7 stone, stay press trousers and walk as if they have a wine cork between their legs (Ronnie Corbett lookalikes come to mind, lot of these in Pattaya).
