The following is a personal observation certainly not an advertisement! The corner bar is a wonderful place to eat, drink and meet nice guys. All thanks to 2 Yanks that truly know what they are doing! The staff are fun and attentive, the food and drink abundant! Stays open long after the bottom feeders have cleaned the bowl. Come! You will surely not be disappointed! Priced very reasonably for what you get along with a great time!

While being in Pattaya, I sometimes come also across Sunnee oncluding the Corner Bar. This all American place has definitely improved a lot during the recent years and looks indeed nice and inviting now.

But it seams also to be more or less an old folks home too where one of the without no doubt friendly owners is whaling around sweating like an horse and the younger one is busy screwing his girl just above the bar and discussing it later loud in public..

Fitting bar for our loud mouthed lunatic 'hereforme' to pop his pills and deride passing Farangs.

For me it might take more than 25 years for being permitted into the G'nT-league - or even can collect my senior citizen pass.. No need for Viagra, Ciaalis or there like either. :drv:

Corner Bar is a fine establishment and an asset to Sunee Plaza. The owners are to be commended for their enterprise.

Disparaging comments by the poster, ttom, reflects negatively on his own character.

As mentioned before: Corner Bar has dramatically improved from what it was several years before. And for sure, any kind of improvement will suit Sunnee Plaza.

And yes, I shouldnтАЩt have transferred my internationally and generally well proven anticipations regarding Lone Stars to the recent owners as much as I did. Sorry!

Ttom, your one strange puppy. You choice of words are strange. What is your native language? There"s a recent gap in your posting history of about 6 months, what;s up with that?

" ... The corner bar is a wonderful place to eat, drink and meet nice guys. All thanks to 2 Yanks that truly know what they are doing! ... "
One of the owners has an extremely odd physique. That kept me glued to my chair for most of my time in Corner. Another oddity ... a well-rounded (very well) farang with a less (far less) than successful toupe.
Species Watching: a favourite past time.

Well i have to agree ,i remember last year when i see the owner wearing a pair of long shorts that were pulled up with Braces ,the waist line was just below the nipples ,, it did make me laugh ,and those cloths just looked like somethiong you would not be seen in ,well not this day and age ,maybe it was the figure , but dont try and hide it with trousers pulled up to your breasts ,loll
I do enjoy a drink in this bar and a game pool when i am there , and No ia m not retired ,i concider my self fairly young compared to many in this area.

Medusa what is the anger about? Been there a few times myself and had a nice time. Which bar do you prefer?

Yes Bornagain, I decided the comments were not helpful and deleted them.
I would actually recommend a visit to the Corner Bar, Mike and Thomas are good hosts and have all the local info, this can be very helpful especially for a firstimer or infrequent visitor. In addition some of the boys are very "offable".Did I mention the fried chicken??

Disclaimer: I wish to point out the above recommendation was freely given without threat or inducment.Neither did Bornagain threaten me with hellfire and brimstone.Nor was I offered free FOOD or Drinks ...not even a free SHAG from one of the staff!!! Verily verily I say onto thee " go forth to The Corner Bar and sin no more"! :angel13:

Michael and Thomas are great guys that run an excellent bar. They've been extremely hospitable to me and my group of friends. :occasion9:

I decided to go to The Corner Bar last night for something to eat. I had the fried chicken fingers and freedom fries, they were quite good and more than enough to fill you up! Nice place to watch people walking about...Looked across the way and saw many guys acting like silly woman. Now that is certainly not my CUP OF TEA but we are all Gods' creatures.

freedom fries

They serve two types of fries there. Normally you get thin fries which are crispier but sometimes you can request big thick fries that are just about the best I've eaten in my life.

to add to how the service may be better than when the previous owner was around is due to the former owner who, credit to him transforming the place from the sleazy sports bar, & bought CB for his bf to run, who in turn got lazy & the owner then had to try to keep the place open by himself, almost running it by himself doing everything as well as having a bf who stole from the cash register regularly & unfortunately became a yaba adict. Then the owner rightly so wanted out & tried to sell the place, whilst managing somehow to keep it ticking along with not much help from bf & also contending with the language barrier with staff that were also hard to recruit & contain. I think thats a fair comment.
The new owners are fresh & keen just like anyone in any new job, i wish them luck, but how long it takes for los to grind them down, ie the music police, supposedly waiters tested positive for yaba etc etc etc etc, remains to be seen.
Are the new owners still having a few problems with the local street trash, throwing the odd spanner in the works, as the good location of the bar comes at a price being so open & in the middle of it all?
