View Full Version : aussies get their disability pension stopped !

April 3rd, 2010, 15:44
This is why the Thai economy is propped up so high. There is so much money from foreigners going into that place. Pattaya alone must take in billions of dollars and they can't even get the infrastructure right. May be it is high time a few other countries did the same! Then the bht currency might even drop.

Isn't that interesting, The current Labor Government in Australia gave out Millions upon millions of dollars in it's first year of government and is now desperately trying to put some money back in the coffers.
This does not only apply to DSP recipients overseas, it is a general purge through Centrelink, the most inefficient government establishment ever run!
Although I agree in principal with cutting pensions of overseas persons who may or may not be working I believe more attention and less money should be spent on single mothers, the long term unemployed and free/subsidised housing. Add to that the current governments handouts to asylum seekers (almost triple an Aussie pensioners fornightly payments, and they have paid tax in this country for at least 40/50 years.

For example: single mother of 5 children (Dad, well one of them, visits now and again) gets AUD1500 +++ per fortnight, is given a brand new 4 bedroom home in a new residential estate amongst quality privately owned homes (which are rapidly put on the market) she pays no medical, no school fees, no dental, drives a large 4wheel drive and can obtain funds in advance from Centrelink if she so desires. WHY the fuck would she work????????????

Personally, the guys in Pattaya with the DSP's can have them, a drop in the ocean of mis-spent taxpayers money. As for Jenny Macklin, ha, don't start me!

The reverse Robin Hood tactics of the Labor (YES the LABOR, working mans party) is hell bent on making up their deficit from those who can least afford to pay, they won't touch the 'big guys' for fear of election loss and reduced donations.

Blokes in Thailand still getting their DSP's...fuck's sake, stand back and look at the big picture!

Me myself speaking personally I hate the baby bonuses that socialist Howard introduced and then theres the Medicare levy that a working man can pay and get free health care for his wife who doesn't go out to work lazy bitch and all his fuck trophies and free education for them as well and don't get me started on the cost of police I've never used a policeman in my life and the army just wasting taxpayers money on foreign wars that no one wants and the cost of those politicians who needs them? Arent the disability pensions the ones you get when your boss says your too old to work but too young to retire and sacks you and every other prick wont give you a job because they think your too old too so the buggers will just have to wait to get the money back that they have been paying in taxes when they were working. $3 million a year for those bludgers on disability pensions. Thats almost the cost of keeping the F111 squadron flying for a day isnt it?

And he uses this first post to trash the only man in Patttaya that defended him. On top of that he did a runner on Monty after organizing a party and left Monty holding the bill.

Gee, Einstein...who do you think pays for infrastructure? Yes, the government. And where does the government get its money from? TAXES.

Following me? Now...how many business owners in Pattaya do you know that are paying any taxes? Right.

You'll catch on one of these days.

I've heard this from a few people now, and read it from many others on forums. I have to wonder though, if people are worried about the baht increasing a couple notches so much, what are they going to do if & when they move back to their home countries? If they have to cut back on their lifestyle due to the baht rising a couple points, then they're probably in real trouble, especially if they run into medical problems, or are forced to go back home for some reason.

I think someone placed an article on here re: about affordability of westerners living in Thailand, in that, the majority never really can afford to live in Thailand and they do not take into account long term factors, the above being added to those factors. And yes, if the baht moves and has a undesired effect on one's finances, then, well, need I go on. "Millionaires" only can stay in Thailand hehehe lol.

I agree... All these elderly people living in Thailand on such a stretched budget are really taking a punt nothing unexpected and serious comes along, like a major health problem or other financial setback.

Actually he has put on weight since that pic and shaved his head. Last time I saw him he was unwelcome at The Venue and making a pest of himself across the road from Montys.
Seemed to be drunk all the time

Strange he gives the stick to Monty when he goes to him looking for support every time he comes to Pattaya.

Put on more weight since that pic? Man, that is one fat lard. Probably hasn't seen his own dick in decades.

Must be one of those times when Bar Boys wish to God that they had never gone into the business of selling sex if they saw him entering their bar and eyeing them up!

I'm reminded of a guy from my college days who got the nickname "Crisco" - because he was fat in the can.

Do you think he has to buy two seats when he gets on the plane?
