Gay Scene in NONG KHAI

I haven't been there in a few years either....but maybe the one host bar is still operating..name is Chong? On Meechai Road.

Also a bar for gay patrons to gather to chat (probably no offs) in the Ta Sadet market.

Check with the owner of the Pantawee Hotel, ladyboy in her 40's, knows all.

Gay Romeo has several boys in Nong Khai.

Possible problem: In Nong Khai, English is at best a third language.

When I was there in late 2007 there were two, next door to each other on Meechai Road - Zone Beer Bar and My Bar (not certain that the latter is gay). I didn't visit either of them, so I can't give a recommendation one way or the other.

MY BAR is straight. The one next to it is gay, and seems to change its name periodically.

I think I have posted directions to this gay host bar previously on SGT. If my memory fails about that, I'm sure I did put directions on thaiboy.net, city guide.

I did not see anything remotely resembling a host bar last year in Nong Khai. There was one bar with a couple of gay staff, but most definitely not a host bar.
