On the way to Pattaya there are two very large propeller type airplanes on the side of the road.

Tried to catch a picture of them on the way back this time but they were past befoere I could get my camera started up.
Maybe someone knows a little more about them?
Discarded remnants of USA involvement in Vietnam?

They look like old DC3 planes to me.

More transport planes or airliners rather than bombers.

They would also likely predate the Vietnam war.

From where? Which road?

There are a couple of Douglas DC-3s/Dakotas in a yard on the way from Bangkok, as well as some other planes, assorted railway carriages (old and new), etc. All available for purchase, if you want one! There are also a few small planes in an Army surplus style yard beside Sukhumvit near the Ambassador, plus some trucks, trains, etc.

Even if they are total junk, the look very majestic on the way from BKK.
wish someday to stop and look around them and contemplate their former glory.
wouldn't they make an outstanding trinket outside a bar?

Just a little worried about looking about junkyards
with all the cobra belts I see for sale.
