Once again there are 17 posts on this restaurant 2 positive and the others have never been there? What else are you experts on other than today's exchange rate?

The quotation is from a thread that was gutted when bottumsup was deleted and so were his posts. I was going to PM hereforme for more info, but as he does not have a PM available, I am opening a new thread. Recently a friend went there with Rotary who thought it good value, but as a guest was not paying.

Perhaps hereforme might care to post a review as he seems to have been there.

Good restaurant, good food "a la Bruno's" without the high prices.
They have a daily 4 course menu which is excellent when I have had it for 500-600 Baht.
Management and staff are only happy to please.

Shame about the decoration though.

I have heard some people describe Alois as a Thai Copy of Brunos. To me that is an advantage.
I have dined there 3 times. Alois has excellent food, wine and service but without the attitude.
Interior decoration is fine and puts a lot of other restaurants to shame. Exterior decoration - could do better.
Long may it last.
