Hi All
Myself and BF will be visiting Koh Samui mid April for 4 nights

Have already (half) decided on Akwa Guesthouse based on the feedback from other users on this site
Budget is 1000-1300 per night

As we are "party people" we will be staying in Chaweng - to be near the nightlife

Have asked BF where he would like to stay and he would like somewhere central like when we stayed in Connect in Patong
From looking at the maps, Akwa does not seem all that central (or is it?)

If not - is there anywhere else that you guys recommend?

Beach front is not neccessary - but would be nice...

Most import aspect is that it should be in central chaweng, clean, gay friendly (and not break the budget!)
Thanks in Advance for any advice!

AKWA is ok as long as you are in the main building. It's a short 10 mins walk away from a few gay bars and as good as anywhere else on your budget.

Hi Blueboy
Can you recommend any other accomodation if we were to stretch the budget to 2000B per night?
BF doesn't like to walk.... so the more central it is the better!

I would highly recommended Chaweng Cove Resotel, I have stayed there for about a week back in April, 2009. The room is start at about 1700 Bahts per night, but if you bring you Thai friend along, normally they will give you a better rate for Thai customer. It is a beach front hotel, but of course for the price of 1700 Bahts, it is not one of the beach front bungalow. Close distant to a gay bar, restaurant, store, etc.
