A new service from Orange or TMobile UK mobile phones to Thailand at only 3p per minute (and it does work and it is 3p per minute, per second billing):
Dial 290377 from your mobile phone and then dial your Thai international mobile or landline number. There are a list of other countries also on the web site with different numbers:

There are lots of cheap numbers around I know, lots of 1/2p and 1p numbers, but they seem to me these days that they are very bad lines. I suspect because they are congested. The above one seems ok, surprisingly. Not sure how these lines work or what have you, VOIP I think. Anyway, there you go.
