Camera phones are not so good---But at least those not here can kind of get a feeling of how it looked 10 miles north of Pattaya New Years @ Midnight.

Thanks for the photos!

I was actually pretty disappointed with the fireworks show. I was all pumped for it too, dragging everyone else behind me to beach road, all decked out in nice clothes, had a good amount of champagne in us, and.... well... I don't know, but I bet the majority of Texans have more fireworks laying around in their basement than what was shot off.

Fireworks are pretty costly though... I think you need to be in Bangkok to see anything decent in Thailand, though I could be wrong.

No shortage of fireworks here in Sydney Harbour. I was at eye level with the Harbour Bridge and only a couple of hundred metres away when it went off like crazy. I heard they budgeted $5 million for the night... I reckon half a million of that was consumed in the space of a 60 seconds on the bridge alone.
