Well psd1315, you didn't say "thank you in advance" so I don't think you will get many responses. When ever someone asks about a hotel, they MUST say "thank you in advance."

Yenaabai Condo. 10 mins walk max to Boyztown or 3 mins to Sunne . Quiet, well furnished rooms.I am in one now for 3 months.
You have left it a bit late but try Pattaya Rent a Room, they sometimes have cancellations or vacancies.

Suggest you look at www.dancewatchers.com (http://www.dancewatchers.com).

View Talay 6 next to Central Plaza. I have not used them but have reservation in January.

Looks like typical View Talay studios which are nice and can't beat the location and amenities.

Ahh greatтАжтАжтАж I will check out all your suggestions. Wine, dine and dance at Center Condo where pleasure costs so little, sounds like a perfect place full of characters if your into writing a bestselling novel.

Tanks, from USA... see ya soon :)

Good recommendation for the future. They were fully booked yesterday when I asked about a room for my friend who decided to show up unannounced. Unfortunately for me he will stay with me for a couple of days until we find something comparable.

Good luck psd1315. I hope you have a great trip here.

Upmarket and gay, try The Venue in Jomtien or Sansuk in South Pattaya.

Not so upmarket and gay try Two Guys and Howards in Sunee.

Plenty of reviews of them on the boards

6 weeks? Don't rent a place that you've never stayed at for 6 weeks off the internet. That's a big no-no.

Just reserve a hotel for a few days, and while there, scope out the area yourself, look at a bunch of different rooms, negotiate with the owner, and find a place that suits you. Maybe even contact one of the many rental agencies around like Fair Properties. Don't commit to 6 weeks over the internet though.

When ever I hit a new city / country I've never been, the longest I'll ever commit to is a week. That gives me enough time to scope out the area, talk to some locals, get an idea of where I want to be, gauge the market value, etc. Within a week, I'm usually in a nice monthly rental that is better and cheaper than anything I could find on the internet.

OMG...That is great advice cdnmatt. With the help of this board and one other, I was lucky when I rented from the Internet upon my first extended holiday in Thailand. However, if I had taken your advice, I might have found something even better and less expensive.

Yet, I am sure many people are not as adventurous as you and will want to secure accommodations before they get here and not worry anymore about it during their stay.

If renting at Yensabai Condo, you can generally get the best price here:

one word... Mosaik.

Mosaic has many more room types than those listed on the website includiong some in an annex with no lift. So best to actually see the room you'll be getting. No pool, if that matters.
