There would be no other member country in Asean that is a producer of quality wine.

Winning a Silver medal in an International Wine contest doesn't hold a candle to the delights of getting your headaches from a four liter box? You are entitled to your opinion! :alc:

If Australia is part of Asean it should make a big difference on Aussie wine prices in Thailand! There would be no other member country in Asean that is a producer of quality wine.

Australia isn't part of ASEAN but has just signed an FTA with ASEAN (along with New Zealand, should go in effect 1 January).

I don't think it will bring down wine prices, Australia has had a separate free trade agreement with Thailand for some time and another FTA isn't going to change anything.

For some reason, even if wholesale drink prices fall, I have my doubts as to whether or not bars will pass the savings onto customers.
