At the risk of being off topic - I saw this article in the New York Times.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/11 ... %20&st=cse (http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/11/24/science/AP-EU-MED-HIV-Report.html?_r=1&scp=2&sq=global%20hiv%20&st=cse)

It basically reports that the rates of new HIV infection have levelled off except for Africa.
I find this to be an interesting article.
My own experience as an HIV counselor was that over the past few years I saw (at least in Wisconsin USA) an increase in unsafe sexual practices (Gay men not using condoms). However, with the use of protease inhibitors and other hiv drugs people who have HIV would have much lower viral loads and be less likely to infect others....Some good news.

Wear your condoms boys..and lady boys.

That's interesting kittyboy, so a lower viral load means less possibility of getting infected? Are sexual practises changing as a result, less condom use etc. I would've thought, even though viruses are one of my circles of ignorance that any viral load would be as infectious as a full load, diluted or not?

Hope it was a gooden for the world Aids day. I hope men who love men are informed of the disease all over the world, it would be such a crying shame if this wasn't the case in this day and age. Sadly it seems to be that in China this is still not the case.
