The brand new SPI 2010 calendar will be available from a special stall at the street party. It will also be available after the party from some of the member bars. The cost will be 250B. There are 13 separate pages and it is printed size A4 on nice thick quality paper. It is bound at the top with a hanger. The calendar features photos from the member bars. Look out for this unique souvenir and remember your time at Sunee Plaza every day of the next year.

Just want to say how great the turnout was down in Sunee for the White Party last night. The boys and management team in Sunne worked very hard to put together one of the most popular evenings, with one of the biggest turnouts I've ever seen out. I noticed quite a few faces from Bangkok, who made the trip down for the event and many local ex-pats that made the effort to come out. With many, many in their тАЬwhitesтАЭ and a few protesters in whatever other colors they were able to find.....most seemed to be enjoying themselves. The fireworks at 11PM were quite nice and good to see the beer bars nearly full to capacity after some slow months.

I wanted to share an email that's circulating Sunee at the moment

Dear Sir,

It is not often that I am annoyed by something enough to write about it. I thinks it's just once a day on average. However I must write to you and complain. My first question is, just who do you think you are? You walk around Sunee Plaza as if you own the place, organizing this and that, and you expect all the bars to join in. Well this time you have gone too far. Last night I went on my usual tour of this terrible part of the city, to keep an eye on the young boys, drug dealing and offer hands on assistance where I can, so that I can write a rant for the various wonderfully informative forums, and I could not complete my circuit. You had put up barriers and I was not allowed to enter with my brand new second hand Honda Wave. It was also noticeable that all the under age street boys were also complaining and the regular drug dealers were most annoyed at having to relocate for the evening. What right have you to arrange for so many people to be in the Square at one t ime. This is a local area for local ex pats, who much prefer a quiet area to seek out their nocturnal entertainment. What right have you to put so much pressure on the bar owners and staff, making them work so hard, just for one night. I bet you did not think through the consequences of you actions. I know of one poor bar owner who had to start counting check bins and money the minute he woke up the following day.

What is a White Party anyway? Did you even consider the feelings of other Nationals. Did you even thik that it's spelt differently in German! Did you stop to consider that it's a sign of the plague Fuknosewhereistan!

Mark my words. Your actions and efforts in creating mayhem and vast amounts of extra turnover have been noted. I hope one day you get what you deserve!

Signed by some silly Pen Name,(Bilious Bill) but really,

For those who couldn't make it, the white party at Sunee Plaza was a success (In my opinion) and most everyone seemed to enjoy the many different activities that were happening around both sois.

I didn't arrive until after 10 PM, but things were still popping. The fireworks was a pleasant surprize and seeing some old friends always warms the heart.

Some estimates of customers vary from about 500 to 2000. I realize that some folks want to promote Sunee as much as possible (owners) but 2000 people? One of the other sites said over 2,000 folks were there.....maybe he meant over 2,000 drinks were served.

Now I realize that I didn't get there until after 10 PM, and maybe 1,400 people had arrive early and left before I got there, but I doubt it.

Just for a simplistic idea to have 2000 people at this event would mean that each bar would have at least 55 bums on the seats plus 10 staff at every bar, all at the same time.

Most bars / Go-Gos in Sunee can't even seat 55 people let alone having 10 staff serving them.

Again, I don't blame owners/friends of owners trying to promote the amount of bums on the seats, but 2000 is a little over the top.

My WAG (Wild-Ass-Guess) would be in the neighborhood of about 600 souls that showed up at one point in the evening and had a ball.

On the other hand, if 2K actually showed up, then that would really help out The SWING foundation that I believe gets a percentage of the proceeds.

Again, thanks to all who helped put this party together, it was a nice change for Sunee Plaza.
