Has anyone stayed at the Heritage Silom Hotel? I'd love to see some comments about the hotel and it's location. Prices are good through Agoda.

I stayed there in June. Nice enough place, fine location, but getting kinda worn. I'm not fond of aged air conditioners.

Overall, I prefer the De Arni across the street.

But it just opened last year. http://www.theheritagebangkok.com/ I guess maybe I didn't get the name quite right.

Thanks for the tip about De Arni... website looks interesting.

Why not try the Glitz hotel? It's in a good location, well-priced (new opening offer) and the rooms look spacious and well equipped.

Beware there are 4 Heritage hotels in Bangkok:

http://www.theheritagebangkok.com/ - doesn't look like such a great location

http://www.theheritagebaansilom.com/ - apparently this one is known for being unfriendly about joiners.

There's also the Siam Heritage on Suriwongse, next to Tartawan Place, opposite the De Arni and Meridien. Joiner's fee is charged if the boy is not registered as a guest. More of a place for moderately affluent tour groups of mature, straight couples.

Highrise, I have stayed at this hotel in April this year and this hotel is situated extremely near Chongnonsi BTS station. There is another boutique hotel opposite this Heritage Hotel.

The room is definitely new, spacious enough. The view I got was an apartment building, not the best view of all but I guess it's ok considering the price.

Breakfast buffet was adequate, combination of Western and local dishes alike. It is quite filling...

Staffs are courteous enough, and there is 7-11 store at the junction to the hotel.

Location wise is good as it's near Silom and yet not in Silom... and it's only a station away.

I'll be going to Bkk again this Fri but I'll be staying at Glitz Hotel. I shall give an account of the hotel after my trip:)

I have observed the "quality tourists" at the Siam Heritage on Suriwongse, and they are indeed the type that Thailand wishes to have. They probably didn't know they would be staying so close to a red light district, but I guess it makes for a good story when they return home.

BTW, Siam Heritage is owned by the brother of the man who owns Rabbit Resort in Jomtien.
