The Thai stock exchange plunged this week on "rumours" about HMK's health. After releasing little information about HMK's condition, authorities finally admitted he has pneumonia.

The Nation is suggesting that the dire rumours were invented. Whether that is the case or the result of some insider knowledge, only time will tell.

In all seriousness... how bad do you think it could/would get if the unspeakable happened? What are the possible outcomes?

Do you mean unspeakable due to forum rules or unspeakable as in oh my god what do we do now?

Unspeakable due to forum rules, which are influenced by Thai laws.

I imagine the power brokers have already considered their options - and will move if the situation arises. I wish HMK a speedy and full recovery

HM just appeared on TV, being pushed around in a wheelchair. Fully dressed, alert, moving, chatting with people, and generally looking good. He laid some wreaths at a statue to his grandfather, King Chulalongkorn (today is Chulalongkorn Day). Impressive.

And the sigh of relief was heard across Asia. Although maybe not as far as Dubai. Or perhaps Khun Thaksin is home decorating in Phnom Penh this week ???
