Anyone out there have recommendations / experiences with jazz bars in the city? It's been a while since I really explored Bangkok. Soi Sarasin, I hear, is no longer the hub.

you might want to try Bangkok Gig Guide (http://www.bangkokgigguide.com/)

They have listings for all sorts of music...although it is hard to tell if this site is up to date or not.

Yes it is a pity, though he may not be banged up for much longer. He is fighting....
Do a search here on jazz/blues I am sure you will find something.
