Unfortunately the metric system is not second nature here, but isn't 30 sq mts. smaller than a small
one bedroom? I know friends who have seen soi tom 10 apartments and have heard they are
spacious and nicely done.. Close to the sauna too, I believe? :cat:

I find it hard to believe a 2 room condo is either 300 sq ft or 3000 sq feet!

Maybe its one of those weird Thai units of measure? Like Rai? I know if it was 3000 Rai it would be like the size of Nothanburi but I think there are subdivisions within that system of measure?

Apartment sizes are always expressed in sq. meters.

I think the confusion is that it says its 30 meters from Mata Hari, but it is 300 sq meters in area.

an average 2 bedroom apartment in BKK would be about 60m2. 90m2 would be a very decent sized one. 300m2 would be HUGE - something that big would be a 4 bedroom luxury penthouse.

I have seen the unit in question which is very nice. As to the size, I believe it is over 100 sq meters and not including the very large balconies. If I remember there is also a remote controlled sliding security gate which protects the entrance and motor bike parking. The building reminds me of Miami Beach. Only one unit per floor so it is very quite and has a great ocean breeze.

Good luck with that. But there should be some interested parties as it is getting closer to the beginning of High Season (even if it is still pissing with rain at the moment).

I arrive on Tuesday in BKK but Pattaya not on my agenda this trip. Up to Chiang Mai after visiting kquill at Medical Corrections Hospital.

There are a few flying back in in the next week or 2. TopJohn5, smiles and a couple from USA also. Might be a fun old time in BKK next week.

It says 30 meters from Mata Hari. That's about 100 feet.

It says the apartment is 100 square meters (not 30 square meters). That's 1076 square feet. It's not huge, but it's ok as a small 2 bedroom apartment.
