Watching one of the interminable year-end wrap-ups on television the other day I could not be bothered switching channels and so found myself stuck on CNN. I usually quite enjoy their morning programme hosted by Anderson Cooper but he’s been off for a few days preparing for the ‘live’ New Year’s Eve broadcast from New York’s Times Square with the sometimes funny Kathy Griffin. Odd – or perhaps not – that CNN seems to have more gay programme anchors than most stations with Cooper, the quirky (some will say more than vaguely so)
