Day 1 of Trip to Chiang Mai
This weekend, I flew Thai Smile to Chiang Mai to attend the annual flower festival. This was the first time for me. On the first day in the city I rented a bicycle for 50 Baht and visited a few temples. In the evening I attended the opening ceremony of the flower festival. The following photos were tweeted live during the day.

Airport Taxi in Chiang Mai is a fixed 160 Baht for the short journey to the city center. There are cheaper options but this is simpler.

When visiting Thai temples, please don’t pay to release birds. It’s NOT good luck. It’s cruel. Many temples ban it pic.twitter.com/0B26WQzltM
