For the traveller who prefers to use land transport there are two options for getting to Krabi, these are using a direct Express/VIP bus service or a combination of train and express bus. Most of the buses travel overnight departing between 17.30 and 20.40, but there is one early morning service leaving at 0700. Express tickets cost 664 Baht and VIP are 970 Baht. The journey time is 11 hours. Train and Bus Combination Bangkok-Krabi There is no rail connection to Krabi. Using the train and bus combination requires departing the train at Surat Thani and transferring to the bus for the final part of the journey.
