This morning I read some very sad news on the Telephone Bar facebook page, Wayne Waterson had passed away. Wayne was a well known figure on the Bangkok gay scene, a former owner of the Telephone Bar and a dear friend.
Wayne’s last message on facebook was on July, 28th in which he said he was not in a good condition that he had a tracheotomy and was unable to talk. And here's the measure of the man, he apologised for not being able to talk.
He will be sadly missed.

A lasting memory of Wayne, a few years ago, arriving on Christmas Day in soi 4 dressed as Father Christmas on his invalid tricycle completely decked as a sleigh, handing out presents. R.I.P. Wayne.
