You may want to give a budget for the question. You can get dinner here for anywhere from 30 - 2000 baht.

On the topic of Thai food, I can't say I'm a huge fan of it, simply because the most common Thai dishes have virtually nothing for veggies. Might get some basil, garlic, and chilli peppers, but that's about it.

There's a few dishes I like though, such as "gia phat met mimmuang timmapan", or however you pronounce it. Chicken stir fry with snow peas and cashew nuts, because at least it has some greens in it, and I do make it once in a while. I do like Asian food in general, and cook loads of stir frys, but just like to load mine up with veggies.

I used to love the restaurant near the lighthouse along from the marina. The food was usually pretty good but the star was the location. Going there always gave me a wonderful sense of well-being as I gazed out to sea. It is now closed...sadly.

Unfortunatley most Thai food found in Pattaya is Esarn food...wlth the exception of seafood.
As the gay scene in Chiang Mai has all but died out I no longer visit but I have fond memories of the food.... not spicey and a hint of Chinese.

    Unfortunately ? It's a blessing, Issan/Lao food can't be beaten.

Nonsense. Name one Thai dish that can be found in Bangkok, but not in Pattaya.
Yes, grandpa, I know it used to be more fun 30 years ago...

Are you referring to the seafood restaurants on same side of S. Pattaya Rd as Wat Chai
Near Cucumber restaurant and the Family Mart?

    I have found a gem.
Not expensive. Thai staff. Visibly clean kitchen. Delious Thai dishes and some foreign food such as English breakfast.
    Where?
It's next door to the DD Inn in that small Soi that takes you on to the beach almost opposite the Jomtien Police station.
The name I forget but you can't miss it. It cooks for DD Inn residents also.
