More Controversy for Mr. Gay World Pageants

Bangkok’s Pageant to find a Thai representative for the 2017 Mr. Gay World Finals in Spain in May was held on 30 November. The winner was gay doctor, 30-year old Pattanachak Wipadakul from Udon Thani who works in a Bangkok hospital. First Runner-up was another doctor, Nuttapong Sabsarn, and Second Runner-up fitness trainer, Anuwat Srikern.

The annual Mr. Gay World Contest has been running since 2009. Not a beauty pageant like Miss World, its primary goal is to identify the “ultimate gay male”, a leader to take responsibility of being a spokesman
